Singing in yiddish entails an arduous and thrilling encounter with the language, that sonic matter full of consonants, brightness and shadows.
Tunes, stories, prayers, manifestos, hymns, lullabies, testimonies. An entire universe which I could not approach without the help of Ester Swarc and Abraham Cukierman.
